The 2024 Olympics: some information on this important event
The Olympic Games were certainly not born in France, since they have existed since ancient Greece. That said, it was in Paris that the first modern edition was organized, proposed by Mr. Pierre de Coubertin... in 1900.

Where and when will the different events of the 2024 Olympic Games take place in Paris?
It would be long and tedious to list all the steps. However, here is a selection. This gives an overview of the diversity of games… and places! We will, in fact, proceed by location.
- Of course, the Stade de France is one of the flagship sites of this French edition. From July 27, the day after the opening ceremony, a series of tests will begin. Athletics (running, relay, high jump, triple jump, shot put, etc.) and rugby await enthusiasts all along the stands, until August 11, the date when the 2024 Olympics will end.
- The temporary Grand Palais, renamed “Arena Champ de Mars” exceptionally, is also one of the locations chosen. We will see judokas competing against each other. The tournament will begin on July 27. It will continue until August 3, 2024, and will be followed by wrestling events from August 5 to August 11, 2024.
- Do you know the Arena Porte de la Chapelle? This modern, brand new complex designed according to the principles of sustainable development will give pride of place to badminton. This implies a certain anticipation of the opening ceremony since they will take place from July 7 to August 5. From August 8, rhythmic gymnastics will have to take over.
- Roland Garros is famous for its annual summit meeting; that of renowned tenniswomen and tennis players. Naturally, the balls will fly there during the 2024 Olympics in Paris, from July 27 to August 4. In a slightly different register, this legendary stadium will be the destination for exceptional boxers. They will arrive on 07/27, and the last uppercuts will occur on 08/10.
Good to know: meetings which will also be held… far from the Eiffel Tower!
